Cave Rescue performed with blasting!
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Cave & Technical Rescue Team performed an amazing rescue last month of a man strapped in a sea cave in San Diego, CA. Micro-blasting was used to break the rock pinning his left leg, allowing firefighters to haul him out. The use of explosives for rescue is something that needs to get more attention. The availability of 1.4S products, such as Royex and NXBurst and the use of new “micro-blasting” systems like the Sierra Blaster can be real game changers for certain rescues. Good work team!
