Explosives Magazine Refurbishing

We can help you rebuild your explosives magazines to current ATF safety and security standards. Whether you want to reactivate an old magazine at your site, save money by rebuilding magazines you acquired second-hand, or want a refresh, we can help. A typical rebuild includes:

  • Replacement of degraded lining materials
  • Security upgrades to current ATF standards
  • Refinishing of metal surfaces and painting
  • Installation grounding and bonding
  • Replacement of vents, screening and other material as needed
  • Help with siting your magazines and ensuring you pass ATF inspection on the first try

Detonator Transport and Day Boxes

We have built a number of custom transport magazines, including DOT-compliant (SLP-22) boxes for detonator transportation
This type of magazine is required for transportation of detonators on a vehicle containing explosives.

It’s also possible to build a DOT box that is usable as a type 2 indoor type 4 magazine, such as the unit on the left.

This is a great choice for users of 1.4S rock breaking cartridges

Type 4 Magazines

Type 4 magazines are approved for storage of items such as:

  • Blasting caps and detonators
  • 1.4S Rock Breaking Cartridges
  • Pyrotechnics
  • Blasting agents
